|log=It's been nearly two months, now, since Mirinda's arrival at Fort, and though she's not made many changes, she ''has'' made her presence felt. Above all, her focus has been on reviewing the caverns, and doing what she can to assist with restructuring in the wake of all those plague losses; now, with the plague seeming to be at an end, she has formally promoted Blume to the position of Headwoman. No doubt this will result in other changes down the line, but for now it may be a good sign: a good, local headwoman, and not (as some may have feared) an imported one.

With Zaisavyth's clutch due on the sands in another month or so, a review of able-bodied young people has also been conducted. It's unsurprising, no doubt, that indications do seem to be that the lower caverns will not be able to provide enough candidates, unless that clutch is very small indeed.
