Well. Kind of like that kind of hard. Because it wasn't as though any of that had just been turned off, because the reason she was staying was different than it had been. He spent a lot of time trying to think about P'ax naked. Or, you know, his mother. Or anyone whose presence in his head spelled out something completely other than s-e-x.

Which was hard. Too.

Shit.

It wasn't as though he wasn't getting any, either - just not from there. He spent the occasional evening or afternoon with someone else. Never in his own weyr (it was like being without a private room again, hunting down places, with some of them, the ones who didn't have places of their own either; they found it really weird - what was wrong with his weyr, they wanted to know? But something felt strange about it).

Otherwise, though, he didn't mind having here there. Liked it, even. Nice to have the company, nice to feel like he was doing something to help, nice to be able to spend time with her (in time, he figured, it'd probably help their friendship, once he got used to the idea of Milani-in-bed meaning sleep, not sex).

And life was, you know, slowly getting back to normal. In some ways, anyway. Things were okay. Things were good, even. In some ways.

But this?

Hard.
