The brooding, lone gold of High Reaches blankets the Weyr in a lock down, though it's only noticeable when someone tries to leave or arrive from outside. Otherwise, dragons shouldn't even notice. It'll go away by the end of the evening when the preliminary investigation shows it was an accident. An untimely, cursed accident. Irianke would have the Headwoman and her staff roll out the cheapest barrels of wine, and lots of it, leaving them tapped in the living cavern and requested the Snowasis be closed for the interim. Wine drunk is manageable. Hard liquor drunk, less so.

By evening's end, it will be known that Irianke is officially the acting Weyrwoman by virtue of being the only one, but also by request from the Weyrleader.
