| log = On Day 28, Month 6, Turn 33, Pern's Lords and Ladies meet during the Keroon gather to decide the fate of Nabol Hold. High Reaches riders deliver most of the Nabolese Bloods to Keroon to be there when the decision is made; all parties are apparently polite, but there's a definite coolness in their attitude towards Ienavi, who attends with her half-brother as escort.

The conclave meeting is surprisingly short, as far as Nabol is concerned: it takes only a few hours for the meeting to be adjourned, and the announcement to be made that Tevrane, the first of Ustelan's children to be born after his surprise ascension to Lord Holder, has been named Lady Nabol.

While most of the conclave don't seem inclined to talk about what went on within the chamber, it ''does'' seem as though someone must have put Tevrane's name forward... though the Lady herself does not seem wholly surprised.

Or, indeed, surprised at all.

As for Ienavi? She was later seen doing the formal rounds on Lord Aughan's arm. If she's unhappy about the result - and surely she must be - she showed no public signs of it. Perhaps she's simply glad for the matter to be closed, especially now that she is, after all, going to be Lady of ''somewhere'' again.
