|log=Despite the state of the Weyr and the surrounding area, life goes on. A reminder of such is beginning to become clear, with Fort's senior queen more and more obviously expecting a new clutch day by day. And yet... those supposed orders about Searching appear to remain unchanged, and now that the first few Candidates are beginning to settle into the barracks, it's evident that they're familiar faces, young residents of the Weyr now white-knotted, and not an 'outsider' among them. Is this really how things are going to continue? Whether there's any truth to the rumours, it's being said that Candidates a little younger or older than the norm might find themselves Searched, provided they reside at Fort, in an effort to fill the barracks with the Weyr's own.
