It’s often said that traders have more unique and individual legends and tales passed down through the generations, and one of the families usually seen making camp in the Ruatha region has decided to handcraft children’s toys and other novelty items to accompany the stories and lullabies they’ve been sharing with the Weyr’s younger generation. Already, many children are pestering their parents and the nannies to buy them one toy or another (or /all/ of them).<br /> <br /> * At the evening meal, scribes are among those sat closest to those sharing their stories, with space dedicated to helping make a record of histories and tales that might never have been written down before. It’s assumed that the information will be made available in the Weyr’s records, but some are suggesting that they’ll just be locked away, to be kept for future leaders and posterity’s sake alone.<br /> <br /> * Speaking of dinner, there was at least one interesting addition to dessert, provided by weyrwoman Lilah and bluerider Nala. Apparently, the iced cookies were /supposed/ to look like scrolls and books, but they were so… unique that the credit for their design and making was more often attributed to the nursery classes than the women who worked so hard to make them.
