Can you even really use that word for a man when you're not meaning to insult him?" The weyrling's inquiry seems genuine enough as he flips open the small sketch pad, again using a thumb and a wrist flick to change pages to a clear one. The bits of images that might be caught vary. Sometimes it's just body parts: eyes, ears, noses, sometimes it's draconic bits: noses, headknobs, tails. None of them are complete images, just scattered practice. He shifts on the bench, turning to face the brownrider and leans his sketchbook against the table. The back of the page before the one he works on has a pair of smoky eyes leering at R'co from just over the edge of the table used for support. "Any particular expression you'd like to be making in the sketch?" The artist queries, tone similar to the clinical of a healer asking where it hurts. "Eighteen," He fills in helpfully. "Just." The charcoal is set aside and  his hand is extended across the table. "Well met." The charcoal is reclaimed quickly and brown eyes study the blonde man's face, delving into the subtleties. It might be mistaken for a look that strips a person bare of all their mental defenses and invades the very soul. Or it might just come across as an intent look. Depends on the imagination of the one being looked at. "Ista? How'd you like it there? I'm supposed to go after graduation." It's casual conversation as his charcoal starts to slide across the hidden page.

Maybe you can give me some tips about ears." Since he'd previously acknowledged their difficulty. The suggestive nature of the comments about places at Ista are lost on him. "Yeah? Do they have a lot of diving cliffs and stuff? I hear their beaches are pretty awesome." Young, indeed. His words certainly sound it. "I do like hiking."
