| log = Early in the morning of fifteenth day of the fourth month, wingleader Y'rel led Alpine wing and select other riders in a raid against Rone's encamped army, scattering his forces. Rone himself was found dead on arrival (or so claims Y'rel), but his seconds were taken into custody at the Weyr (supposed neutral ground) while awaiting a clear successor to Nabol.

The common soldiery has been promised amnesty, though for the time they have been divided into smaller, more manageable interim camps, guarded by various riders involved in the raid, all under the command of former-pseudo-weyrleader H'kon. Meanwhile, the leaders of the Weyr and neighbouring holds debate how best to deal with them all... and who's going to be footing the bill for their needs until things have been settled.

But at least succession's simple now, right?
