 The morning is crisp, cool, fresh, full of the promise of spring with just a hint of a reminder that winter is only just slipping away. It's a pleasant day, with clouds skudding overhead and Rukbat's light shining through them, glistening off Cailluneth's freshly-oiled hide where she lies alongside N'ky on top of a rocky lakeside outcropping. The little green is avidly watching the herdbeasts in their pen, eyes whirling with excitement, head following whenever one moves. Her weyrling doesn't seem ''quite'' as interested; he's whittling away at a piece of wood, paying little attention to what's keeping his lifemate ''so'' fascinated.
