''The vast cavern has much the same odor of redwort and numbweed as the human infirmary, though here it's seasoned with coppery ichor rather than the iron of blood. It's also laid out similarly though on a much more massive scale, its walls lined with a number of places for patients, in this case large dragon couches recessed into the floor for ease of access; nearby cots provide space for riders. Tucked into the western curve is a huge circulating pool of warm water, by which are kept vats of oil.''

''The healers' duty station is a counter on the north side of the room, a checkpoint before the storage rooms behind it that are now shared with the human infirmary, hosting supplies that are as neatly labeled and carefully scrubbed as the rest of the infirmary. The senior dragonhealer has an office there as well, and human-sized double doors have recently been built as a direct route to the human infirmary, while opposite a wide winding tunnel leads to the east bowl.''

A respite from rainfall gives the bowl the briefest respite from mud; there's certainly still mud, just less of it and somewhat firmer than usual. It leaves a lack of tracked to be cleaned in and through the dragon infirmary and past into the infirmary and caverns proper. There's the dragonhealer on duty, of course, a few dragons, a few riders tending to them, and one goldrider with a notebook and a pencil behind one ear to hold back the dark fall of hair, idly looking through the supplies. Inventory, maybe.

High Reaches' spring means a lack of dry and clean clothes for anyone doing sweeps - and R'co looks far from his usual pristine self as a result of his day's tasks as he tracks into the infirmary, Deveriteauxth close behind him. The parchment-pale brown goes to find himself an empty couch while his rider pauses by the duty station long enough to chat to the 'healer on duty, which leads to someone trotting over to fuss over Deveriteauxth, leaving R'co... to spy Aishani. He sidles up to her, flicking a damp fringe out of his eyes once he's by her side with a bright smile on his plush lips. "Busy, goldrider?"

As the brownrider sidles up, Aishani steps ''away'', certain to leave at least an arm's length between her and R'co, though that seems a fairly common distance, particularly when the tall woman ''is'', in fact, perfect and unsplattered by mud as of yet. But for boots, but can that be helped? Cutting him a sidelong glance with fine brows arched, "Always. But I can talk, if that's what you're after. What can I help you with?" She sounds thrilled with the prospect.

She steps away, he smirks; R'co crosses his arms over his chest, curling slender fingers around his elbows. "I'm honoured by your offer of help, darling. ''Truly''." There's sarcasm there, yes, but it's good-natured enough as he winks at her. "There's a ''rumour''. A rumour that there might be a ''flight'' soon." One brow raises questioningly high, beneath that rain-dampened fringe of his. "What's ''your'' opinion on such... hearsay?"

"My opinion," Aishani says dryly, as she makes a note in her book, "Is that you should ask Azaylia. Or Hraedhyth. I'm neither qualified nor interested in making assessments of other people's dragons." Pushing back one box of supplies into place, she pulls out another, arching one brow at R'co skeptically before aiming it his dragon's way. "Hoping to plunge us into chaos once again? He'd need Szadath's record for anyone to be concerned."

"Now how could Deveriteauxth and I ''possibly'' make things any worse than they have been?" Mock-innocence is ruined by a short bark of laughter, and R'co shakes his head. "I don't know Szadath's ''precise'' record, of course, though I ''do'' know that my boy's got a proven record of his own." Blue eyes glance warmly over to where the brown's being looked over, and he smiles fondly. "Do tell, though, darling, as I'm ''awfully'' curious. What sort of chaos do you think I would cause?"

The goldrider's glance is dismissive as she goes back to looking through the supplies and making notes with barely a blink. "None whatsoever," Aishani states, with some certainty. "I don't think you're capable of causing all that much chaos at all. But it's ambitious of you to think you might." Her tone is a verbal head-pat; her dark gaze flickers up briefly to give a sharp, brilliant smile before its back to the task at hand. "Despite lack of research."

A verbal head-pat that R'co would metaphorically lean into, if it were possible. "I never really thought of myself as the chaos-seeding type. More of the... sit back and ''see'' sort, I suppose. Chaos is, of course, ''much'' better viewed from a distance - it's ''far'' too much like hard work to be all caught up in the middle of it." He waves a hand dismissively, then shrugs his shoulders. "''Fabulous'' as I'd be in the role, I have no interest in being a Weyrleader, Aishani. Deveriteauxth might chase, though he'll not be encouraged by ''me'' to win." His smile broadens, just slightly, and he leans a fraction towards Aishani. "I'd be far more interested in urging him on after Iesaryth."

As she makes another few notes, Aishani notes absently, "Chaos is opportunity of which leadership cannot take full advantage. One cannot take advantage of that which they seek to control." She pokes through the box before putting it back as it was and pulling out the next, sharp, dark gaze keeping track of R'co and where he is at the moment. Nose wrinkling, "Yes, I'm so looking forward to being trapped in a weyr with the lot of you thinking you have the right to ''touch'' me. Someone might have to take my knives." Her tone is dry, but she doesn't sound like she's joking.

R'co pouts at the inference that he'd be there amongst the ''sleazy'' flight-hopefuls. "Oh, darling, ''really'' now - don't you think I can keep my hands to myself, until it's my time?" He wiggles slender fingers at her, before slipping them into his pockets. "''Gorgeous'' as you are, I'm well capable of restraint - even when there's dragons involved. I've had no complaints for getting handsy ''after'', though... not that I've had the chance to ''demonstrate'' that here." A frown creases his brow, and he raises a hand to sweep his blonde hair from his eyes. "There's ''something'' about High Reaches. Deveriteauxth's having ''no'' luck. It's ''dreadful''."

Looking no less disgusted by the prospect of any of it, Aishani gives a quiet snort into the next box of supplies. "That's what everyone says, and despite that, fights break out anyway. I trust no one's sensibilities when egos are involved. Never mind the dragons." Pencil working over the paper, something about the brownrider's words has her smirking briefly, but she merely points out, "There's greenflights all the time. And that's the way it has to go, so I suppose there's no sense complaining about it one way or the other."

"Ah, but, back in Ista, he'd catch at ''least'' every seven." Which may be an exaggeration; whether it is or isn't, R'co huffs in disappointment. "Though I do suppose that I'm rather more ''busy'' nowadays, and that doesn't quite give him as much time in the Weyr to be around when greens go up..." The brownrider pouts, looking down at his muddy toes. "Still. I'm ''quite'' pleased to tell you, Aishani, that I've ''never'' been involved in a flight fight. It's ''far'' too easy to end up with a broken nose, and quite ''frankly'', mine hardly needs another knock in ''that'' direction." He turns his head to the side, running a fingertip down the bridge of his nose, tapping the bump that's a sign of breaks past. "It's ''hardly'' a pretty look on me, though you know who wears it well? K'del."

One more box that requires notes, though it appears that anything Aishani might be actually looking for isn't being ''found''. "Unfortunate that moving Weyrs should so curtail your ''social'' life," she notes, perhaps wondering if there's much of one without the dragon? She dutifully looks up to regard R'co's nose, now broken, yes, such a shame, though K'del's name only brings another unladylike snort from the goldrider. "If you like that sort of thing. Not near as well as some men, I think." Would she agree on the bronzerider wearing anything well? Hardly.

Nose wrinkling slightly at the dig dished out by the goldrider, R'co chooses to... overlook it? Rise above it? Something, anyway, as he doesn't react other than that little hint of displeasure. "I can't say I ''like'' it, though I do tend to prefer my men to be a little more ''rugged'' than I am, and a broken nose ''does'' add a certain ruggedness to a character, doesn't it?" Not that he's anything even ''close'' to what could be considered as 'rugged'. "Do you have anyone in mind who might wear it better than the Weyrsecond, Aishani?"

"I prefer noses unbroken, if at all possible. I dislike imperfections and weaknesses. But there are occasionally flaws that can be overlooked." Aishani doesn't quite answer either of R'co's questions, glancing over her notebook with brows arched even so, seeming to think she's imparted enough in that to make up for it. Back to her notes, she shrugs, "Anyone would look better than the 'Weyrsecond', pale as he is. Near transparent."

"It's perhaps just as well those occasional flaws ''can'' be overlooked, darling, or I'm sure you'd be left high and dry and horny as ''fuck'' outside've flights, hrm?" R'co snorts, shaking his head. "Perfection is... well, it's ''perfection'', isn't it? I ''cried'' when I got my nose broken. Wouldn't leave my bed for ''days'', because I thought I was ''hideous''. But I've since learnt that ''flaws'' are what makes a person, and perfection, while ''pretty'', is rarely worth the effort. Of course, I was an exception to that rule - I've ''always'' been worth it. Even when I was High Reaches-pale." He'd be paler than K'del no doubt, given his lighter blonde hair and the pale blue-grey of his eyes; luckily the brownrider's still sporting a tan from his Istan turns.

With an arch of brow, Aishani finishes a tally with a little sweep of pencil before looking up over it to R'co. Patiently, "I, like many people, have more important things to worry about than who I am or am not fucking. Nine days out of ten, I'd wager. Do trust that I am ''covered'' in that area, if that is your concern." Closing her notebook, she slides the last box of the infirmary supplies away, then tucks it into her jacket pocket as she continues, "Now, if there's anything else... please. But if you're going to continue to put forth your resume for a position that is ably filled..." Ahem.

R'co's eyes narrow slightly, and his lips purse in light of the rebuttal. "So blunt, darling. But it so ''does'' ease my worried heart to know that you're getting laid, even if it wasn't my intention to learn as much." He snorts in amusement, looking up at the taller goldrider with a bright, toothy grin - possibly the best one in his repertoire. "I'm not ''trying'' to wriggle in under your sheets, goldrider, but should you find the need, you'd be more than welcome to come in under mine. It'd be hard to say no to... ''well''." He dips his head, a quick glance running over her figure; too quick to really ''see'' anything. "Please don't let me keep you from your duties. I'm quite sure you're terribly busy, making the Weyr a better place for us all?"

With a flash of a smile, "One of my flaws." Aishani's candor, no doubt. Her dark gaze surveys the area she'd been looking over, as if to ensure nothing is out of place, for all that the dragonhealers in and around the infirmary must see her there. She looks over to R'co for a moment, then just shakes her head before starting on into the infirmary. "I'm not in service of my ''needs''. And yes, every waking minute, a martyr to the cause." That's sarcasm there, but she does offer something of a salute in farewell before she disappears.
