Dragon> There's distraction then for the green as she's speaking to her lifemate, << He says sometimes life is disappointing. She can suck it up. He has faith. Besides, he says, he's letting her know ahead of time, and it's not like they actually set a-- oh, whoops! He was talkin' to me. >> Not for relay. Teisyth's mindtouch is suspiciously occupied with... um... oh, hey! There's a grub in that herb box! But only for a moment. << He says he'll do it, just needs the time to sort things that got complicated. >> The green probably thinks she's being helpful, without the aid of the talking G'laer cartoon, << Oliwer doesn't wanna be left alone in the weyr just now. Not after all that craziness yesterday. >> Or did it happen tomorrow? Time is ''hard''. But that does seem to fall right in line with Ilicaeth's assertion that humans are complicated. Dragon> There's a feeling of finer focus from Ilicaeth in return to G'laer's uncensored words, the blue's sands coloring slightly towards ochre for a few moments before he sweeps them away, back into his sand constructions. Almost casually, << Faith's dangerous. Proof's better. >> The blue leans in and down to sniff at those herbs of the green's, looking specifically for mint, even as he continues, << Yep, gotta take care uv business. >> Even if the 'business' is one's lover. Snort. Dragon> To Ilicaeth, Teisyth, in all truth, probably doesn't understand the difference between faith and proof. Or at least doesn't put much stock in the difference herself. She is very different from her rider in that way, but if she tells G'laer, it's likely that he understands even if he doesn't answer the point. << We did too! >> Of going back to the weyr. << Only Oli wasn't there. An' then later he finally showed up and didn't want to talk about how G'laer had kissed that girl he done did wrong to at Crom in the bathes, only I ''made him'', >> she sounds proud, << And that was gonna be okay, I though, only ''then'' Oli told him that he was with-- >> She's ''abruptly'' cut off, like the engine puttering along just up and died.

Dragon> Yep, the blue's comment was more for G'laer than Teisyth, and that the green conveyed it faithfully seems to perhaps oddly please Ilicaeth. Still, there's more interesting stuff to take in with her admission, and the male nods his sands around a shaggy chuckle at Teisyth's former admonishment of her rider. The abrupt cut off leaves the blue wanting more, but he's restrained from prompting her for more by his own, guard-esque wish to maintain a less forthright manner while 'interrogating' a witness. He'll share this with his rider soon enough, and then ''she'' can mull it over, and ping it off of him. Privately. Right now, he's all easy affability with the rusty gal on the other end of the 'line.' << Well then, sounds like ours got a date ta hunt. Alida's got two days off in a row a couple sevens from now, anyway. Make it easier on 'er. >> Chuff. << Thanks, Teisyth. >> (To Teisyth from Ilicaeth)

After all, he didn't ask, so, it must be ''fine''! << He says he'll have me let you know when he can go. Or send a note. Sometimes notes are better. But either way, I'm not supposed to talk to you until I forget what happened yesterday. >> Or was it tomorrow? It doesn't matter, in a whirl of distraction in the form of that grub in the herb beds, she's ''busy'', and dutifully obeys G'laer, this time, in keeping her silence until yesterday isn't even a memory for her.
