|log=Astivan has got a lot of bad press lately and appears to be smudging the family name time and time again. It’s possible that a relative might be usurp the Lord Holder, whether by combat or cunning. Or maybe an ambitious wife might be able to talk her husband into challenging Astivan! With the Holder distracted, no doubt someone will try to get away with questionable behaviour. And what of those girls who vied for Lady Holder, a position that Lady Darcy isn’t fit for by some accounts? Will her inability to produce an heir give the available ladies the opportunity to gain his attention once more? What of the Fort brothers, having to watch Astivan ruin all that their father worked so hard for? How do their wives or betrothed feel about it all? Is marrying into that family as good as surrendering all hope?

And the crafters and workers and families within the Hold… Aren’t /they/ really the ones keeping everything going? Surely they should have a say. What is ‘should’, anyway, if one ‘can’?
