 * [[Leova]]'s role as Anvori's special friend doesn't so much affect Riahla as the greenrider's own nature does. Leova is inscrutable, mysterious, feminine without being girly, a woman of few words. These are all things Riahla--gregarious, tomboyish, upfront Riahla--is lacking.
 * [[L'sen]] is like an honorary uncle, seeing as how he always liked Satiet. Being somewhat absent-minded, he's like to remember the twins periodically and try to indulge them, then phase back out until he remembers he's looking out for them again. Being the ultimate in laid-back, he's sort of a safe place for Riahla: an adult she doesn't have to worry about putting on any sort of front for.
 * [[Leysen]], L'sen's son and nearly five turns the twins' elder, seems to think of himself as an older brother of some sort, too. He's always looking out for them, although he's much less obvious about it than his loudmouth father. He and Riahla tease and bicker like siblings, especially when he tries to tell her some life lesson, as older brothers are wont to do.
