Here's a face to break hearts, make no doubt about it: there is a classical beauty about Ysaera, full-cheeked and lipped, with her straight nose and her dark eyebrows and expressive brown eyes. A tumble of chestnut hair falls to midback in messy waves, sunstrewn honey in natural highlights, fair counterpoint to her pale complexion. She stands of an average, with a figure as trim as any Harper's sketch could have wont, replete with a generous bust and a slender flare of hips.

== History ==
Seacraft through and through, Ysaera's life has consisted of the sea, more sea and even more sea prior to finding her way to High Reaches weyr as a part of a collective of seacraft folk visiting with the idea of trade. Little is known of Ysaera's life prior to her joining the seacraft other than the occasional mention of a mother and a father (she wasn't born from an egg, see), but in the short time she was Candidate, she kept mostly to herself. Not stand-offish, but more quiet. Did what needed to be doing with little voiced complaint or glory; if anything of note came out of Candidacy about the girl, it was the fact that she's a hard worker. Not really a loner, but definitely not immediately one who tended to be in the thick of things, the seacrafter seemed more to bide her time. The one time asked, her opinion was along the lines of, "The chances are greater to walk off the sands and return your old life than to walk off the sands newly Impressed."

Ysaera seems to be a fairly pragmatic girl with an air of mystery and a wealth of knowledge about the sea. From salty songs to questionable tales of great adventure; her expertise //is// the sea, and fishing, and sailing a vessel. So it wouldn't exactly have been a surprise to see the utter shock at both Impression and finding her life suddenly forked into a new direction she never could have imagined.

As for Nykievth... there's a reason a dragon of mystery picked a girl of mystery, and as the dust of Impression settles, only time will tell as to just what kind of dragon Ysaera caught in her net.
