| Your location's current time: 19:43 on day 31, month 5, Turn 58, of the Tenth Pass. It is a spring evening. You climb down Leiventh's side to the ground, using his foreleg as a step. Lake Shore, High Reaches Weyr This shoreline marks the edge of the freshwater lake that fills the southeastern portion of the bowl. The gritty dirt of the bowl gives way to smooth sand. Across the lake, the bowl wall rises high into the sky, its face dotted with weyr entrances. A few dragonlengths above the water, glimpses of a level cliff can be seen amidst boulders lining the edge. Just south of here, a smaller pond of water is divided from the main lake by a natural bridge of land. A path leads across the bridge and up to the diving cliffs, winding through a dotting of small boulders on its way. The evening is clear, not a cloud to be seen, giving you a perfect view of the stars. The smaller Belior shines in half moon while Timor shines in half moon. The air is calm, with no hint of breeze. The water's glasslike surface mirrors the cliff walls and sky above. Contents: Kyreth Leiventh Obvious exits: LAke Pond Diving Cliff Bowl Ayana slides down Kyreth's side to the ground. Ayana has arrived. It's late evening at the 'Reaches, and R'hin's currently lounging on his rock - a comfortably flat rock, not too far from the lake. Leiventh, for his part, is curled up not far away, fast asleep by the looks of things - but then it's sometimes hard to tell with the bronze, given as he is to stillness. Ayana jumps down from Kyreth, looking about quickly before patting his snout, "Hm, you could swim here, if you want," she offers the brown wryly. "I need to get you away from Boskyth for a bit. I'm tired of hearing 'she's shiny.'" She rolls her eyes and starts to rub her hands together absently. Taking a few steps, along with Kyreth suddenly warbling a greeting to Leiventh, the brownrider jumps and looks toward area indicated by her lifemate. A feral grin appearing, she rubs the brown again, "Ahh...I see. No need to say anymore," and she saunters over to R'hin. "You sure look comfortable," she comments easily as a greeting before nodding to the bronzerider. "Good evening, handsome." A twitch of eyelids and a familiar, bassy rumbling indicates Leiventh's awake, and serves as greeting to the Igen brown. R'hin's head tips towards the dragon, recognising him before he actually sees Ayana from his prone position. "Mmmhmm," he responds lazily, disinclined to move, other than to generously pat the section of rock next to him in invitation. "Had a big meal at Telgar, after the hatching. Fine hospitality there, I must say." Pale eyes trace over the brownrider appreciatively, before he smiles. Blushing a bit, Ayana slides into the seat beside him, looking him over just the same. "You were at the hatching?" she asks in amusment. "Yeah, I was there, too, but..." she pauses, looking sheepish, "well, something had come up back in Igen. Still, it was nice to see the bit I did. I always miss hatchings for whatever reason." She doesn't look too disappointed by it as she grins at him. "Telgar's pretty nice. I haven't gone there often...only to see my friends." "Up on the ledges," R'hin confirms. "Best view of the whole thing - other than being on the sands themselves, granted." Grin creeps over his lips at the blush, amused. As she sits next to him, one hand idly reaches out to play with her hair, absently. "Shame we missed you. Not to worry. There'll always be more hatchings. One to come at Igen, too - have the eggs been clutched yet?" he enquires. Ayana nods at R'hin, "I didn't think of the ledges," she muses slowly, "I should have gone up there instead of grappling with the crowd." While he touches her hair, she reaches out and rubs at his chest gently, "Yes, a shame, but the meet would have been cut short anyway. I forgot I had drama there with said friends. I never seem to stay out of trouble," she adds wryly, though the smirk on her face indicates she's pretty much finding all of it amusing. "The last hatching I've ever been to was yours, if you can believe. I was still a weyrling then." She shakes her head briefly, "No, no clutching yet. It's been pretty quiet in Igen. Next to the extra drills I'm still stuck with for my 'lovely' injury, I've been out and about mostly." Sitting closer, "How was Fort? I've only been to the springs there." "Drama?" R'hin echoes, brow lifting curiously, obviously prompting her for more information. "Yes, the trouble aspect seems to follow you just as much as it does me. By that logic, we really ought not to go places together. I wouldn't wish to create more diplomatic incidents for Igen as well as the 'Reaches." Pale eyes gleam slightly, humor self-evident as he leans forward just long enough for lips to gently brush at her forehead. "Mm. Fort?" he queries. "I haven't been there for a while - M'wen and I decided it best not to after we unsettled a few people there." Ayana chuckles deeply, continuing to rub the bronzerider's chest. "Yes..it was known all through weyrlinghood that I had a crush on Z'nal, and he happens to have a weyrmate," she explains. "He and I have a love for pranking, even though he's seemed to put one over me two times so far...so, I made a wager for when he's done with Telgar. I pull off a good prank on him, he gives me a kiss....if I fail, I have to promise him to think more before I act." She rolls her shoulders in a shrug, "Which I do. I accepted, and I had a run-in with his weyrmate at the hatching. Ofcourse she would know. Drama." She chuckles then, "I don't mind the trouble, especially with us together," she drawls easily. "It makes things...interesting, don't you think? I'm pretty tame now...I was much worse when I lived in the Hold." She shakes her head at his answer about Fort, "Ahh. Like what happened in Ista with Moyra?" Her hazel eyes stay on R'hin in amusement, "Moyra was just bitter. Ofcourse she would jump on your words. I couldn't tell her any different since jilted women usually don't want to listen." R'hin listens, lips curving in dark amusement. "A dangerous game, messing with another's weyrmate." Not that he can talk, but at least he has Delu's blessing, for the most part. "If you're not careful, you might find yourself with another knife in your side, and not from any renegade. Still, it's true - it's different when you're a rider. The rules change." He doesn't seem to bothered by the mention of Ista, shoulders lifting a moment. "She's either going to come to accept the new lifestyle, or she won't. Some manage to reject it and seem to do well enough - R'dur, from Telgar, for one. Never met a man that blushed so much at such minor things. But yes, a little like that," he answers vaguely. A glint creeps into his eyes as his hand drops from her hair, "So, tell me what I missed after I left last night?" Ayana grins at R'hin's comment of messing with weyrmates, "Dangerous, yes," she agrees with a nod, "but I assured her that I didn't want him. I'm not that same girl I was in weyrlinghood, I'm learning. I'm moving onto...other interests," and her mouth curves mischieviously as she looks him over. "Moyra will be alright once Centh chases just once. She's freaked about flights, and I can sympathize. I did everything in my power to keep Ky from chasing, to no avail." She blinks at R'dur's name, "Hm, never met him. Blushed alot? Hm.." and she moves to lay down next to him closely. At his answer, she chuckles, "After you left? Hm, not much. Delu freaked Balinne out by giving me a non-chaste kiss infront of her, then kissed her herself. Poor weyrling ran out the cavern." She shakes her head, "That weyrmate of mine's going to drive me and Ky crazy now that Bosk's proddy." R'hin slips an arm around behind Ayana as she lies down, fingers playing over her arm. "Still, you know what they say about old habits," he says, half teasing. "Hm. Flights? Is it her first time, or something?" He seems a little bemused; the idea of flights never particularly bothered him, and still doesn't seem to. "I thought she might've been, but I wasn't sure." He grins, abruptly, "At first I just thought that was how she normally was. Poor Balinne indeed. I hope she comes back to the 'Reaches some time. I haven't even had the chance to show her the sights - she's so convinced Ista is the best Weyr, she refuses to see the beauty in any other." Ayana cuddles closer, sighing with a grin his way, "Old Habits? Z'nal...he was a nice idea. We wouldn't have worked. He said I was too reckless himself." A smirk is given as though she prides herself in being called this. She nods soberly at the mention of flights, "No, this will be her second," she says evenly. "The first one was rough. I was angry, alot...so was she towards the end. Delu's not like the way she was last night. Atleast she was being decent." She pauses before grinning, "Balinne's nice. Ista's nice, too, but not the best. There's beauty in all the Weyrs, though I think my heart will always be beyond the walls of holds and Weyrs. I am my brothers' sister after all." Another smirk, accompanied with a shrug. "Well, we both know he wasn't wrong," R'hin points out adroitly, little twitch of lips and teasing look softening the words marginally. Though why he thinks he needs to do so is up for debate. "That was decent? I suppose it was, for a greenrider," he concludes. "I fear when Priya and Bristia's greens rise. Any of the dragons in our clutch, really. It would be... strange," he concludes, after a moment. "Leiventh doesn't seem to have much interest in most greenflights, though." It's a neutral observation on the bronzerider's part. A long silence follows the mention of her brother. Eventually: "He's at Fort, you said? Another reason to avoid that Weyr for the time being." Ayana dips her head in a nod, "But I've done nothing," she says to R'hin, catching herself from adding the 'so far' at the end of it. "I've yet to talk to Kamer yet, anyway. He won't allow me to be so involved anymore. He's probably lost trust in my tracking skills." She smiles, "Strange, yes," she agree readily about the greenriders in flights, "especially if you don't like them. Ky's tricked me into two flights before I caught on. He loves his greens. I prefer him sanding me than chasing, personally, but...it is the way of the Weyr, as you say." She chuckles a bit at his last comment, "Bayan? Yeah, they both are. I wouldn't worry too much about Baye. He's all talk, for the most part. He was always able to talk himself out of trouble...me too, when I was living in the Hold. I suffered greatly without his skills when he and Kam just upped and left one turn." The grin that lights the bronzeriders face suggests he can almost see the unspoken addition to the end of the sentence. "Hm. You're dragon's the sneakier of you, is he? I'll have to bear that in mind," R'hin says, with a glance towards Kyreth, amused. With a brief shift of his head, he responds, "I'm not worried, per se. Besides, from the sounds of things he's distracted enough to stay at Fort." A faint rumbling earns a look from the scuffy-haired 'Reachian, who lets out a sigh of breath. "Leiventh says one of the riders is asking for me. It could be to do with my wing assignment - I'd best go. I'll drop by Igen in a sevenday or so, if I can. Hopefully after Delu's green has risen," he says with a grin, leaning closer to kiss Ayana. Ayana looks toward Kyreth, "He's the competitive sort, so Leiventh better be careful," she replies in amusment. She winks over at R'hin, "Ah yes, the goldrider. I wonder how long that will last. Bayan's becoming a fool to think he's dare such a thing." She sits up a bit, nodding as she looks him over regretfully, "Yeah, I better head back," she says, sighing also. Giving him a lingering hug, "I'll look for you in Igen," she says with a grin, giving into the kiss. Breaking away, she touches his cheek and releases him from her hold. "I'll have to come by more often," she quips with a wink his way. "I'll let him know," R'hin says laughingly, with a glance at the bronze. Eventually, he steps away from Ayana, hands dropping back to his side as he moves away towards Leiventh. "You will. All you have to do is keep 'forgetting' your brother's at Fort and accidentally come here." Grinning, he lifts a hand by way of farewell before pulling himself up onto the bronze's neckridges.
