| Deliciously Shadowed Nooks and Crannies Weyr, High Reaches Weyr "I think I have found the solution," Arekoth did not lift his head from his couch. He did open an eye, or at least, some lids, "to the problem in which you have landed us." The brown stretches out that twisted leg. It wouldn't crack, still. The slight, but prolonged, discomfort buzzed as a most minute spot of darkness in the back of H'kon's mind. « It wasn't landing that caught me a queen. » H'kon made his way to his dragon's couch, rolling his eyes for the boast, and crouched right alongside that leg. Arekoth moved his head, to be out of the way. The dragon still kept one eye closed. "It's a long-term solution," H'kon moved, doing his best to guard his thoughts, though the distraction of running his hands along that twisted leg, he knew, would be an easy entrance if the brown chose to pursue it. He pressed his lips together, hard. « I don't think you'd get away with killing Szadath's. » That one open eye had made a shift toward the blue, even though H'kon was pressing his thumbs so hard as he could into one of the muscles that had gone tight around the leg. « You're not nearly crafty enough. » "I think," H'kon spoke almost overtop of the brown's commentary, "it would help to set up a brazier near your couch for the night." It's the humidity in the air, that was probably causing the problem. Warmth will help. « I could go keep warm with Iesaryth. » "I think," H'kon stood, "that I will put myself forward as a candidate for your clutch." He fought back a smile that was starting to pull the edges of his eyes. « You think you're good enough? » "This time, perhaps I will be so lucky as to find a less troublesome dragon. Perhaps a blue." « Or a green. » H'kon went to the loft frame, once a bed, in his weyr. He found thick riding gloves. The brazier would be warm already. The fire had only just burned to coals. "I had thought," he called back to his dragon as he descended the ladder, "that you might also consider standing." « Oh? » "Any future claims you might make would certainly be solidified if you should manage to impress a bronze. " H'kon winced at the sound of metal on stone as he dragged that brazier from its point near his bed, to the dragon's couch. When Arekoth breathed over the coals, he jumped back, stumbled a bit. Arekoth stretched his leg again. A flare of green mixed with that black speck. « Could get awkward if you get your green though. » H'kon edged the brazier a few inches one way, and settled alongside his dragon, rubbing the sole of his boot lightly against that twisted leg. "Indeed. I'd hate for you to be embarrassed, when you'd proved yourself lacking." « Hah. » H'kon let his eyes close, the better to watch Arekoth's colours. Arekoth closed his, too. |

...You two are WEIRD. >.<
Still, it was a really cute scene. Behold, proof that H'kon has a heart! It's just a little black speck mixed with green, is all. ;)
