Mid-afternoon on the seventh day of month nine Tillek's watchrider sends word back to the weyr: young Thedrin, Lady Edeline's sole heir, has gone missing. After a brief (and, the gossips say, rather tense) meeting with the Lady and her husband, K'del mobilises the wings into a large-scale search for the eight-turn-old. According to rumour, the boy was released from his afternoon lessons because of the nice weather, and went to play, somehow managing to evade his usual guard and go... somewhere. Some say the boy has been seen playing around the docks more often, but with whom remains an unknown.

For now, the wings are conducting their search on a rotating basis, and are under instruction to talk to anyone they encounter for news of the boy. Thedrin is described as having inky black hair and pale, freckled skin. He is a slight boy, and appears younger than his age, and was last seen wearing a dark blue shirt and tan trousers.
