| It's been weeks, now, since Thedrin disappeared, and aside from that one lead - his clothes, found on a ship heading away from the Hold - there's been no news at all. By early in month 10, search duty has been cut back; by the middle of the month, it's simply a matter of keeping eyes out while conducting normal sweeps. It's never been said officially, but general assumption is that Thedrin is dead. What happened, and why, remains a complete and utter mystery. Meanwhile, perhaps it's not surprising that relations have turned cooler than usual with Tillek. Lady Edeline is said to be beside herself with the loss of her only child; she's also said to blame the weyr, at least in part, for failing to retrieve him. Whether this will have any ongoing repercussions for the weyr - well, that remains to be seen. |
