Rielsath's 'Welcome'
RL Date: 20 November, 2011
Who: Rielsath, Vysravth
Type: [[Concept:{{{type}}}|{{{type}}}]]
What: Rielsath rises. Vysravth catches.
When: Day 14, Month 4, Turn 27 (Interval 10)

As the senior weyrlings of Cirrus returned temporarily from their camping trip to feed hungry dragons, Rielsath was waiting. On day 14 of month 4, the sun-dappled gold tore through foggy skies to chase away the younger ones from /her/ herdbeasts, spooking quite a few and leading still more on her first mating flight in close to three turns. Not much was to be seen above the lowest layers of cloud and drizzle, though when Rielsath returned she was discovered to have been caught by the wily, young brown Vysravth of E'gin's. Behind him lies a trifecta of obstacles old and new, namely: Weyrling. Brown. Exile. The situation promises to be a slightly tricky one.

It's a tricky situation, indeed: although tensions between islanders and weyrfolk have eased in many ways over the past turn, Vysravth's catch has certainly stirred up a small but vocal minority. Isn't it enough that there's an exile goldrider at High Reaches? An exile bronzerider? Must these exiles continue to take hold of the weyr... when will it stop?

Is it their plan to take control completely?

It's been quiet for months, but now: disquiet.

On the plus side, at least this clutch will break High Reaches' streak of queen eggs-- something that, given the Interval, and the weyr's three existing queens, can only really be considered a good thing.
