Just short of two weeks after the discovery of what was, most likely, young Thedrin's body, Tillek hosted a memorial reception in his honour. The body has already been disposed of, it seems, so there were no formal funeral rights - instead, dignitaries from across the region were invited to pay their respects to Lady Edeline and Consort Potipher, and recognise the life cut short.

Lady Edeline was reportedly in presence for only a short time before she needed to be helped away; all reports are that she is simply not coping at all with this confirmation. Potipher was more stoic, but even with his presence, it was a stilted and awkward affair for all concerned. People being people, there was no shortage to the speculation as to what will happen next: will there be another child for Edeline and Potipher? Will she name one of her stepchildren heir?

And what about relations between Tillek and Crom, which were notably cool? Perhaps more interesting was that Lord Rynien of High Reaches did not bring his daughter, Lord Crom's fiancee, and barely acknowledged the Crom Lord at all.

High Reaches seems increasingly tense - balanced, perhaps, on the tip of a knife.
