Striated Terra Cotta Egg
Sitting on the hot sands, this egg resembles a desert stone, baked by the sun into a warm, honest color. It is a rather large egg, oval in shape, and the surface is smooth but not shiny, with a coarse-grained texture. A series of minute grooves and channels encircle the reddish brown shell in a slightly wavy design. The parallel bands are colored in a lighter shade, almost apricot, and appear as if someone had dragged the egg across a hard surface and left shallow gouges on it; not that Aurelinth would ever let any harm such as that come to her eggs.
Striated Terra Cotta Egg shatters suddenly, dumping a Confident Russet Brown Dragonet sideways into the sand.
Confident Russet Brown
A motley assortment of browns shade this dragonet's skin, but they combine into a pleasing if somewhat eccentric appearance. His head and wings are a rich red-brown, but the hide on his body lightens in hue until it becomes a golden-brown on his underbelly and tail. Beneath his hide, well-proportioned muscles struggle and strain as he plows his way across the Hatching Grounds. He meets each obstacle in his path with a cool determination, and each time he begins to totter or stumble, he gets right back up and keeps on going. Confident in himself and his abilities to find the perfect person, he is not the type to surrender.
