Lazy Late Morning Egg
Soft blues, layering over each other in pastel shades, give way to the verdant greens and browns below. Swirls of black here and there dot the greens and browns, resembling supine figures at rest on a lazy late morning break. A smattering of pink and yellow flicks through the green, adding to the meadowlike atmosphere of this large egg.
The shards settle, unveiling the small creature the egg had cradled so lovingly. A blue body stirs slowly, wings opening cautiously.
Thoughtful Periwinkle Blue
A deep shade of periwinkle blue covers this dragonet from head to tail. A few deeper streaks, almost the indigo shade of falling evening, wind their way along chest and back, resembling swirls of cloud. As his wings rustle and extend, the deeper swirls intensify, flowing outwards as would a fistful of streamers blowing in the wind. His large, irridescent eyes are set deeply into their sockets. The broad wedge of his head, with clearly, heavily defined eyeridges, swings from side to side as he considers his surroundings. Each movement is methodical and carefully planned. The broadness of head carries through the torso, already giving promise of a powerful musculature to come.
