| With only days to go until the Holder Conclave that will decide Nabol's future, it's just a little surprising when, on day 25, word goes out that Lord Aughan of Crom is issuing a public invitation to an autumn gather... and the celebration of his wedding to Ienavi of Nabol. True, the first anniversary of Lord Ustelan's death is less than a sevenday away, but... Aughan and Ienavi? It's hard to know whether this is supposed to help her cause in taking Nabol - a cause most consider largely won, since, with Rone out of the picture, there are no other claimants at center stage - or suggest she's no longer interested. Some may see it as a sign of stability for the Crom/Nabol area, but others are wary; can Aughan be trusted with that much power at hand? And... surely he's far too smart not to see the way others will see it? |
