It's just over a month after the raid when, finally, word comes back to the Weyr that the last remaining members of the army have been re-homed and dealt with. Even the leaders, originally brought back to the Weyr, have been quietly removed. What little supplies remained in the camp have been returned to the Weyr, too - it's not much, but some of it may be useful going forward, especially with some refugees beginning to clamour at the chance to return home.

For some, there's not much of a home to return to, though the wings are hard at work, doing what they can. Others have simply made the decision not to return at all... while some seem determined to hold off until the succession is finalised by the Conclave. After all, Nabol's a wealthy enough Hold, or has been; once someone is in charge, surely they'll put those resources to good use.

Hope is often viewed warily at High Reaches, given all the mishaps, but it does seem as though the whole situation is quieting down. True, those rumours against the Lady Ienavi continue to spread, and true, Nabol remains much of a mess, but it seems next to impossible that there will be more trouble from even remnants of an army.

There's even a date for the Conclave, which will be held at the end of month six: finally, there can be closure.

(Although exactly why Lady Edeline of Tillek has been visiting Nabol is still rather a point of conjecture. Is it related? Simply a chance to bring her daughter to visit her father's Nabolese relatives now that things have settled down? The Lady, as always, simply isn't telling.)
