"Yeah, seems like Wroth is being an instigator, unintentional or no," E'dre replies as he slides off of the bench and dusts his rear end off. He holds out a hand to help her down. "Thanks for coming by to visit. I'll stop by in a day or so, we'll organize a trip to Boll. Best to get you out and enjoying some things before you're Sand-bound." He escorts Lu back towards the dragons and then eases himself up onto Wroth. "C'mon, we've got to go get ready for sweeps." And before Wroth can do more than shoot an apology-sounding << Okay. >> to Rielsath, they're off towards their ledge.

Mentions: Leova/Mentions, E'gin/Mentions, K'del/Mentions

The morning has come and gone: with the periodic misting of rain that seems to be prevalent this time of turn. It's not raining now, but the ground is damp and the sun has not been inclined to come out from hiding behind the gray clouds swirling overhead. E"dre has settled down in the grove beside the lake, claiming one of the picnic tables to settle on. He's seated on the table-top, feet on the bench, and eyes looking out at the lake shore. Wroth is on his ledge, but he sends a fleeting image of the weather to Rielsath. « Would you want to come here? »

Rielsath reacts a bit slowly in thought, taking in the image of the lake shore - foreign to her but familiar to Lujayn, who quickly makes the decision. « We're coming, » And a minute later they appear in the sky above, sweeping by Wroth's ledge in jovial greeting before touching down near the grove where E'dre waits. « Are you? » Rielsath asks curiously, settling near the treeline rather than splashing out into the lake. Lu tucks her jacket in a bit tighter to keep out the damp as she inhales deeply. "Smells like home every time," Approaching the table where E'dre has seated himself, she grins. "Doing okay?"

Wroth almost blusters at the fly-by, though he stretches on the ledge and launches himself into the air. « I am ». Soon he's landing on the lake shore and moving towards the water, though he does not enter it. « Is it cold? » E'dre looks up at the signal from Wroth that he had invited the gold pair and his smile is quick on his face as he notices Lu's approach. "Well you're a pleasant surprise. The table isn't that damp, if you want to join me?" He shifts over to make room for her, "And I'm doing just fine. Was just thinking. What brings you my way?"

"Wroth thought you needed company," Lujayn interprets for herself as she takes a seat beside the brownrider, "And I thought I'd better take all the opportunities to travel that I have for now." Not quite surprised that she's a surprise in turn, she looks back towards Wroth with a wry smile. "Gotta love those dragons." Rielsath lifts her head to hum a greeting for her friend, big eyes whirling happily. « No, but it's comfortable here. And we don't have a forest by our lake at home. » An image of the 'Reaches lake, its high diving cliffs and waterfalls magnificent, the beachline rocky - beautiful in its own way, but not like this.

"He's becoming more and more meddle-some, that brown of mine," E'dre quips with a shake of his head and a droll smile. "And yes, best to have your freedom while you can. How're things going? All that...," he wriggles his fingers in Rielsath's direction. "Go okay?" Wroth eyes the gold and then settles on his haunches on the shore. He seems content to watch her swim. « I remember the lake. I imagine these waters are much nicer, but if I want a swim I will make him take me somewhere warm. » He flips through and stops on an image of a beach in Boll. « Much nicer. »

"Oh?" Lujayn glances sideways at E'dre. "In what way?" She's known Wroth as the quieter type, suited to a rider more unambitious and low-profile himself, so this change piques her interest. "And the flight wasn't anything I haven't done before, you know. E'gin's Vysravth caught. They've been good about it." As if all the problems come from the male end in those kinds of situations. « Boll. I heard dragons searching there. » Half-submerged near the surface, Rielsath soaks more than swims. She searches for a memory, a muted image, some hint of memory. Uneasy, but not raw in the moment, « Is there still trouble? »

"Well he better be good about it, otherwise y'know, I'll come back that way and punch him. At least K'del couldn't punish me for that," E'dre teases, elbowing at her side. "And he just has been more into gossip and chit-chat around here. Back at Reaches he spent more time glaring and glowering at other dragons than really being bothered with them. Aside from his 'friends', of course." He shrugs, seemingly Wroth's meddling isn't as detrimental as it might be. Wroth considers her last, head tilting. « Yes, still trouble. It is not to upset you though. Enjoy your soak. »

Lujayn chokes out a laugh, "I don't think you could do more damage, truthfully. It's over and done with." Clearly grateful for that fact. "Most people are over the whole 'exile' thing, but those who aren't? They're damn annoying. And I'm glad that Wroth is happier here, even if it does mean gossip." She adds warmly, though Rielsath's eager thoughts are filtering through to her mind. « I want to help, if we're already here. We won't be able to visit very soon. » Even warmer than the waters of Boll, a clearer feeling of heated sands beneath talons and belly flash to the brown. Rising quickly from the shallows to meet him ashore, the gold doubles back on herself to fit beside Wroth. « Show me where. »

"Yeah, I got tired of that whole mess real quick. I get questioned about it all the time over here. How long have they been at Reaches now, almost 2 turns? People need to accept it and move on," E'dre comments with a flick of his fingers before he folds his arms in front of him. "Wroth is happier, I'm happier. I think Fort was a good choice for us, for sure." He turns to look at her with a fond smile, "Not that I don't miss some things about Reaches. Have you seen Leova lately?" he queries. Wroth does not budge when she comes closer, though he does give her a thrum of pleasure at her nearness. The image of sands is met with a sincere, « That is exciting for you. » He considers her last, « What will I show you? »

« Show me where to look. » Rielsath's reply is intense, long periods of inactivity launching her headfirst into this new vie for adventure, the danger and thrill. « Where you search for Her. » She's had a taste of the news circulating about Fort, and what does being from the Reaches have to do with keeping her out of it? « We don't have much time left where we'll be useful. » She pouts, childlike petulance flaring at the idea of being grounded on the sands and her rider similarly situated. Past the treeline, Lujayn purses her lips. "I haven't. She's very busy with the weyrlings this time around, and I don't know what else," She does manage to keep her smile, at least, mirroring the arm-crossing. "Acceptance is one thing, but it'll take more than an exile sire to quiet people. I think only time can do that. /Lots/ of time."

Wroth seems entertained by her petulance, her seeking. He shares all that he knows of where they have been looking: mostly, wilderness. « It does not seem like we will find her easily. E'dre thinks she may not even be hiding where we are looking. Maybe someone is hiding her. » He gives a mental-shrug, then flicks his tail over to tap-tap-tap against hers. « You will not mind being on the Sands once the eggs are there. » E'dre nods his head and flips his arms behind him, leaning back against them. "People are stupid, in my humble opinion. Hating something doesn't change it. At least here, it's all speculation. I got /real/ tired of the bickering at Reaches. Hopefully that's settled down some?"

"At least out in the open," Lujayn affirms, her own demeanor not so brassy as to call people stupid; she clearly appreciates E'dre's candor. "More muttering, gossip-like. Wroth would love it." She teases back, sending a warning look over her shoulder to her own antsy dragon. "And /we/ are not going to get involved in Fort's issues, either." More to subdue her queen than make a point to her friend. « When we're both stuck and you're out there having fun, » Rielsath huffs, « You visit. See how much you like it. And he doesn't have to have eggs, either. »

"I don't want to get involved in Fort's issues," E'dre returns, laughing with the slightest edge to the end of it as he quiets and shakes his head. "As if I haven't lived through enough murders.. now there's more going on. It seems to be the new Pernese theme." He snorts, tilting his head up to peer through the foliage above. "I wonder when the sun will come out? Maybe you and I can take a trip to Boll? We can lounge in the sun." Wroth snorts and huffs back at her. « I will visit you then. And it is not fun to endlessly sweep around looking down. It would be fun if we were doing something else. »

"You live here," Lujayn reminds him with a look. "You can't exactly avoid your own Weyr's problems. Unless you want to try Ista, I think it's quiet there." She laughs too, glad to be at ease. "It's been gray at High Reaches, too. Lots of fog and rain. Boll would be a nice change, in the next couple of weeks before the clutch." Rielsath bridles a bit, though she doesn't have the heart to actually snap at her clutchmate. « But you could find Her and be a hero. » She reminds the brown with a swell of longing mixed with stubbornness, « Even if you were doing it because someone told you to. Flying sweeps is better than not at all, and anything is more fun than being fat just for a useless baby. » There. Lujayn looks back again at Ri's latest unhappy noise, looking troubled between E'dre and her gold. "Maybe we'd better go."

"C'mon, we've got to go get ready for sweeps." And before Wroth can do more than shoot an apology-sounding « Okay. » to Rielsath, they're off towards their ledge.
