N'thei: What? Want to be someone else's 'second? Can't promise you that, and I need you, brother.

F'rint: Would you let me finish? Just once, shut up for a minute.

N'thei: (Hateful silence)

F'rint: Thank you. I don't want that knot. I'll be your 'second, friend, and be honored to do it. But I ain't fit for-- for all that I've seen expected out of a Weyrsecond. You know your limitations, I know mine.
