TELGAR WEYR has said to have had their eyes, spies, and ears on the HEALER HALL proceedings around Teris' demise. Many a Telgar rider has flown in and out of the Hall under pretenses of errands (though many are true errands), and have supposedly reported back any little tidbit they've heard. To Prinavi? To J'sran? To whom? Someone apparently. But one errand to the Hall seems to have taken much longer than it should have, an aging brownrider, once Weyrsecond, having spoken, at length, with a Masterhealer in charge of degenerative diseases before whisking him to the Beastcraft Hall, and from there to Telgar Weyr. | TELGAR WEYR has said to have had their eyes, spies, and ears on the HEALER HALL proceedings around Teris' demise. | BENDEN AREA A long caravan has left GRAYSTONES HOLD near the middle of the ninth month and was spotted by gossipers with more access to the rest of the world sometime early month ten. It'll take another sevenday for the wagons to reach BENDEN HOLD, but by day 20 of month 10, Benden Hold will announce the engagement of Nalisse to Matthias. Mirelle, the Lady Lara's sister, has been requested to stay at the Hold as well and is said to be courted by SOUTH TELGAR HOLD's young Lord, Xanemin. The dark rumors out of BENDEN WEYR suggest that the dead eggs from the last clutch weren't taken immediately between. The clutch grows, albeit smaller than the norm, though this hasn't seemed to bother the weyrlings who have become a tight knit group of three in the aftermaths of their beleaguered clutch. Cora has not left the Weyr in months now, though B'doran departs on wing business. There was some scuttlebutt in the last few months in regards to BITRA HOLD and some dragonriders from FORT WEYR. It's purported that even a weyrwoman's presence was requested. What's even more shocking is that she did appear. It took some time afterwards for news to come forth, but Lord Cendon has appeared to exercise leniency in a particular case and has somehow installed a Fortian dragonrider's younger brother as his personal aide while "requesting" an extra month's worth of tithes from the young man's hold. Life continues on at VINTNER HALL, and there are definite camps solidifying at the crafthall: those that support Vyad's retention of his knot, while there are those who prefer any candidate, any other one than the Mastervintner himself. Clio, for her part, seems remarkably calm and unwilling to pursue what many claim is rightfully hers and has, instead, continued her frequent trips to Tillek and Monaco Bay, sometimes with the recently recalled vintner, Tayte, by her side. The summer harvest of grapes and tithes of other fruit have said to be mediocre for the cooler summer this year. FORT AREA HARPER HALL has sent a group of harpers to troubled IGEN HOLD to meet with the Masterharper's journeyman already there. At HEALER HALL, the inquisition into healer misconduct at High Reaches Weyr continues with a verdict reportedly to be had shortly. Masterhealer Tevara has been overheard to respond curtly to criticisms of the length of time it is taking by saying that when a person's career, life, and ethics are at stake, any length of time is fine. HIGH REACHES AREA The SEACRAFT has continued its investigation, and in doing so, ex-communicated three of their own, a Master and two journeymen, who insist no wrongdoing. Master Niemvan's brand new ship was christened the Isara, some say after the Reachian queen who died in the line of duty. IGEN AREA IGEN HOLD is a state of rigid calm, an enforced peace with patrols daily and nightly. The remaining summer gathers go as planned and seem fine on the surface, except all those guards. Lord Wulfan has not retired to Katz Field yet, though has been said to have visitors and letters of condolences. The, as yet, unconfirmed Joremy, is said to be working closely with Igen's elite as well as his wife (wife?), poring over books and looking to have aged a decade in the scant time since he usurped the Holdership. Igen's financial state, from what the more glum gossips say, is said to be impoverished with a high number of gambling debts to Bitra. With a successful hatching behind them, you might think F'rain would be welcome as IGEN WEYR's Weyrleader. Except, that would be the optimism of those who don't know Nimae well. The young man is said to be stymied at every attempt to take leadership and has been told to sit back to let the adults manage the Weyr. This has not sat well with the younger brother of Lord Agaeor, and while he has not left Igen at all, it's said he's received many a visitor. TELGAR AREA TELGAR WEYR has said to have had their eyes, spies, and ears on the HEALER HALL proceedings around Teris' demise. |
