Nabol remains a hotbed of tension. Many expected the attacks to cease over time or for either the Hold - and Weyr? - to put a stop to the senseless thievery, but neither of those things has happened; Nabolese are frustrated with the lack of action and answers. What started off as simple robbery on the road, stealing purses, and rustling up livestock for whatever nefarious purposes, has graduated to something a bit more sinister.

There are rumors starting in month eight that there's been a casualty: a young boy of around seventeen who stood his ground against the brutes, only to be struck down. No names have been given and while likely, there's no concrete leads on this particular story. There are, however, several accounts of a wing from the Weyr descending on a barn in the Nabol region, turning everything upside down in their search for.. clues? As far as anyone knows, there was nothing amiss, and only an intrepid farm hand was taken in for questioning and later returned.

Nighttime robberies have turned into random daytime attacks, and everyone is cautioned to either stay off the roads altogether or travel with care; and possibly a knife.
