| The first day of the High Reaches Hold gather dawns clear and warm: the perfect spring day, by all accounts. Weyrfolk (candidates and exiles included) interested in attending are encouraged to assemble in the bowl; riders will be checking there first before making their own way, ensuring that everyone has a ride. Candidates and exiles will, of course, be required to keep a rider escort with them at all times; anyone caught without one will be sent home immediately. For the most part, it can be assumed that the holders range from curious about the exiles to outright unfriendly - though more dismissive than outright hostile. Lord Rynien, while in attendance, will not be taking audiences with any of them, no matter how strenuously they argue. His wife and two children will be around - this will be Braeden's first visit home from his fostering at Tillek in some time, leading to some speculation that the heir, now twenty-three, might be recalled home to work with his father soon. Meanwhile, Lord Aughan of Crom will also be in attendance, no doubt to spend some time with his bride-to-be, Rynien's nineteen turn old daughter Issedi. |
