Type: Update
What: Guards from High Reaches arrive to search the candidates' and exiles' belongings for a certain trinket.
Where: High Reaches Weyr
When: Day 13, Month 5, Turn 26 (Interval 10)
It's a couple of days after the end of the gather when a group of Lord Rynien's men arrive, and performed a detailed search of the candidate barracks - going through the belongings of everyone, exile and candidate alike, under the careful supervision of Headwoman Giorda and her staff. Not a lot of information is given at the time of the search, but word, as it is wont to do, gets out later: Lady Issedi's necklace, a gift from her fiancee, Lord Aughan, went missing during the gather festivities, and there is some kind of evidence - exactly what remains uncertain - that links it to an exile. Which exile? No one seems to know, not even the searchers. What is also known is that a formal complaint was made to the Weyrleaders, noting that the exiles behaved in an unfitting manner around the Lady Issedi, and that some also were seen wandering around without the escorts that were promised. The end result? They will not be welcome at the Hold for future celebrations. In the meantime, there's no evidence that the necklace has been found-- though there are those who will say that it was clearly sold off already, and what people should REALLY be on the look out for is someone with more marks than they ought to have. Things never quiet down, do they?
