| On Day 6, Month 10, Turn 33, Crom Hold welcomes people from across Pern to enjoy their autumn gather... and to celebrate the marriage of Lord Aughan and Lady Ienavi, formerly of Nabol. Although the wedding ceremony was a quiet one, limited to close friends and family only, Lord and Lady Crom spent quite some time out in the gather, afterwards, and certainly seemed to be genuinely happy. This is Aughan's first marriage, despite his age. Some will remember that he was, at one time, engaged to marry Issedi of High Reaches - an engagement that was broken after her father's death, and ultimately followed by her marriage to Devaki, now Lord High Reaches himself. Ienavi, of course, has been widowed for only a little more than a turn, and has a one-turn-old son, Eustan. Presumably, Ienavi will now need to produce a son and heir for her second husband, and many eyes will likely be upon her until she does. |
