Faded Trackmarks Egg
The small egg might as well be a nest of tunnelsnakes captured in glass, the way its wormy stripes writhe thicker and thinner about each other, except these are pale as creatures that have never seen light and are just as eyeless. A darker, loamy brown separates them, and perhaps protects them, for they also appear to have no proper hide; several fine broken-off lines appear to emerge from the surface of each, is all, like the last white hairs combed across a man's balding pate.
Two-for-Joy Revelry Bronze Hatchling
Rich, coppery bronze washes over this small dragon's neatly apportioned form. Compact of build, his body seems to flow in a smooth line from headknobs all the way out to the tip of his tail, like the single stroke of ink and brush to draw an intricate calligraphic symbol. As unbroken as the lines of his musculature may otherwise seem, his hide's coloration is not so seamless, with darker pools of russet gathering along his head and stretching down his neck, only to give way to pale licks of flame along trunk and limbs. The sweep of his wings bears a darker shade of burnished copper that is echoed in the curve of gleaming talons infused with smoke and an odd, single dot of charcoal on his right ankle.
Temperament
Bright, talktative, friendly, energetic, bouncy, cheerful, to the point of being overwhelming to a shy, withdrawn rider.
Public Impression Message
There's only two eggs left intact and the Faded Trackmarks Egg looks like it'll be the next to go, swinging wildly from side to side. Finally with a loud popping sound the egg simply cracks right around the middle and bits of shell fly outward as a burly, determined bronze makes his way forth to meet his new partner.
Dragon Inspirations
The magpie, bold and sociable and specifically the old nursery rhyme/superstition wherein magpies are counted and a certain number of them have meaning for the person's life. Agrith's line is number two, 'two for joy'.
Egg Inspiration: Right in the middle of the elementary school I attended for a few years, there was a tree. And while there were many trees in this school (it was built on a farm, with acres of land to go with it), this one was special: it was the tire-swing tree. So this egg is inspired by that tree, and by tire-swings in general.
