It lays there, shaking back and forth as the dragon inside fights the battle of birth, working with all its energy to get out! The egg splits into two huge pieces that seem to just part ways, giving the creeling wet hatching plenty of room to wriggle out onto the warm Hatching Sands.
Turbulent Muddy River Brown Hatchling
With the ragged appearance of an earthslip or storm-weathered hillside, this hatchling seems raw and exposed. The resemblance seems exacerbated by his awkward and gangly hatchling movements. Brown granite hues shiver through the ochre and tan shades of loose rock and then again in the muddy grey shades of silty clay that covers his hidequarters and tail.
Dark swathes of colour sweep back from his eyeridges, fields of earthy loam amidst the paler, slightly tan and ochre hues that colour his body. His wingsails, when unfurled, appear muddy. Rivulets of silt merging with the ruddy shades of red clay, and the tiny fleckings of foam roil and roll on the turbulent, flood swollen waters.
Public Impression Message
Turbulent Muddy River Brown makes his way as best he can towards his goal. He lifts his harsh, brassy voice once again, as if calling out to his lifemate. Neatly tucked wings droop as he forgets to take care and drags them helpless behind, his only thought on the young Candidate coming steadily into view. At last!
