As the crack widens, you catch the barest hint of the golden hide of the young queen as she struggles to break free. Several minutes elapse and then, with one final burst of energy, the shell erupts into a fountian of golden fragments.
Sunset Gold Hatchling
As the day comes to it's close and the sun sets over the ocean, the sky dances with color and light, fading into the darkness of the evening. Rich blues swirl with pink and violet, all with a golden cast. Rays of bright gold stream out from behind clouds kissed with soft orange hues. This golden hatchlings hide dances like the sunset, glowing a warm, rich gold. Dappled with all the colors of the sunset over her translucent wings and the underside of her neck, trailing all the way down to the underside of her long, graceful tail. Her hide is a rainbow of fire, ever changing in it's golden glory. Her jeweled eyes glow as red as the sun as it touches the horizon, her hunger driving her forward. Her clumsy, awkward movements are typical of one so young, but she'll soon grow to be as graceful as the clouds scooting their way around the sunset. Her bugle resounds against the rock walls of the cavern, announcing her presense with a musical air!
