Tale As Old As...
RL Date: 17 October, 2014
Who: Astivan
Involves: Fort Weyr, Fort Hold
Type: Update
What: A trader announces that Astivan has a son.
When: Day 6, Month 1, Turn 36 (Interval 10)

Evening of day 6, month 1, Fort's take on the literary festival reached what is being described as both a crashing halt and a minor bump in the road. At the evening meal, a story being shared by a young woman bearing the knots of one of the trader families concluded what was, all told, a fairly boring and fanciful story about a drudge and a Lord named Tiv, and a great, secret romance, by casting off her knot and beckoning to one of the children in the audience. The small boy she made turn to face the crowd as she announced, "And this is Lord Astivan's son and rightful heir." Met with a mixture of silence and incredulous laughter, she took the boy by the hand and moved to reclaim her seat at one of the dining tables without any further ado.

Thus far, the most repeated comment about the whole affair is that, if she was going to brand Astivan with a nickname, she really should have chosen 'Ass' instead.
