For nearly a sevenday now, the blizzard that has settled over Fort has yet to let up, leaving the bowl absolutely heaped with snow dunes, with little 'safe' landing space for dragons. Most of the ground is either covered with fresh snow or melted and refrozen ice, with black ice causing problems for humans and dragons alike. The dragon infirmary is currently inundated with patients suffering from wrenched wings or sprained limbs, while, next door, the Weyr's healers have treated at least a half-dozen broken limbs in as many days. If the weather keeps up, Turn's End might not be a particularly pleasant time for anyone, and the blizzard has already seriously slowed down preparations for the new turn's gathering.
