On day 12, seven days after it began, the storm that's been tormenting the Weyr finally begins to ebb, wind and rain abating to what feels like a merely annoying level after days of the outside world being an inhospitable nightmare. However, just when it seems that things might be on the mend, one of the higher dragon ledges crumbles away and plummets down into the bowl, pieces of rock falling to block the channel between lake and waterfall, causing extensive flooding in the hours that it takes to remove the jagged boulders and temporarily relocate them.

At least one of the casualties of the storm owes her unfortunate fate to the fallen ledge, her name added to the list of near a half dozen losses, and both infirmaries are still treating patients every hour of the day (and night). Joining those patients are a number of dragons and riders swept up in the storm without hope of returning home before it ceased, though most appear only a little worse for wear, having found places to wait out their weather-imposed exile.

Morning of day 13, small units from each wing are sent out on sweeps, to assess the damage done and check in with holders. Whether they receive a warm reception or condemnation, only time will tell. As for other riders and residents alike... it's clean-up time.
