A Promising Spring
RL Date: 21 November, 2010
Involves: Fort Weyr
Type: Update
What: Spring plantings are growing and herds are growing fat in Fort area.
When: Day 14, Month 4, Turn 24 (Interval 10)

While spring is only just beginning to release the northern end of the Fortian peninsula from winter's grasp, the more southern Holds have already kicked it into full gear for the new turn. Word filtering up from travellers, early traders and the reports of watchriders have all had an air of optimism to them. The Holds have fared well over the winter, spring plantings have gone well and the herds are fat. It would seem that the long-time beleaguered area has finally regained some of the stability it had lost.

Already there's word of friendly rivalries from the south of the region, with several holders claiming their herds as the best of the area and to have bred the most superior animal. Certainly it would seem to infer a good turn-out for the showing, purchasing and trading of herdbeasts that usually accompany the spring Gathers. Given the more pleasant spring weather this turn, said Gathers promise to be bright and bold events, with trade and marks flowing well beyond the levels of recent turns.
