In the early hours of day 11, month 4, the dragons of Fort Weyr keened for the loss of green Nyvenirth, who went Between without her rider, Isaphe, or, as some argue, /because/ of Isaphe. The greenrider was known to have been suffering some sort of mental disorientation and displayed little care or affection for her lifemate, unlike turns past.

Isaphe did not have to suffer long without Nyvenirth. Her body was discovered in the lower caverns, not far from the Infirmary, a knife embedded in her chest. The idea that she took her own life was short-lived, given the 'B' carved into the handle of the knife.

And the fact that Fort's dragonless rider, Bea, is now missing...
