Dead Calm Egg

Silence, unbroken by breeze or rustling whisper. Surface, untouched by ripple or broken foam. The unruffled aquamarine surface of this egg calls to mind the sea on a windless day, the sort that makes sailors despair. Dark and tranquil and deep, it holds secrets beneath its outer aspect . . .life rests beneath its surface in coraled browns and blues and greens, but is caught and undisturbed. The glassine smoothness of its shell creates an aura of simplicity and tranquility, and yet you sense that it only waits for a breath of life to ruffle its surface.

The Dead Calm Egg fairly falls apart from shaking, the bits of shell falling away from the glistening body revealed inside it.

Stormy Aftermath Green

Relentlessly wind-churned and wave-tossed, the sea takes on a muted shade of grey and green, a shade that echoes in the hide of this large dragonet. Easily the largest green of the clutch, her already sturdy bones attest to a potential strength built to withstand the lashing wind and torrential rains of the weather's sudden fury. Pale flashes of white and yellow line her wingspurs like jagged bits of lightning, while her underbelly is the grey-green of a retreating storm. Even her talons are a driftwood white brown, like bits of wood washed up from the wild waters. For all the violence in her coloring, the personality she exudes is one of bubbly joy -- the essence of a clear blue sky heralding brighter days after a storm. Her warbling greeting to her new world is like the sun's rays coming out from behind a darkened cloud.

Public Impression Message
