Runner's Field Egg
Whuffling and snorting, Lhiannonth is urged by Taralyth to a spot the bronze has deemed as 'suitable'. Her wings spread and flutter slightly in agitation as she crouches over the chosen place, hide rippling. A rather oblong egg finally slips free, wobbling a little so it ends up on its side just before it's buried by the gold.
Buried on it's side, securely in the warm sand, nestles this fairly oblong egg. On one side it seems the bright green as if the fresh new grasses of spring, early come to growth. A dark shape, rather like a new foal, nestles to sleep in the safety of the tender looking shoots. As you circle past you see that the color deepens and then starts to fade to become more yellowed. Another splotch of a darker brown is here, as if a spirited runner races through tall rushes. Only it's head and neck above the tall strands, though a shadowed smear of bent stalks is left behind.
Runner's Field Egg rocks insistantly, shell flaking away. There's a quick flash of blue between one of the cracks, a fleeting glimpse of what the egg contains, before it goes toppling. There's a final shake, and the bronze within breaks free, carefully half-spreading his blue-edged wings.
Ingenuous Pottery Bronze
The dragonet has the sort of smooth contours that make it difficult to tell his size except in comparison to others, his deep fine-grained bronze rubbed in one easy line from dished muzzle through sturdily arched neck and body to the gentle sweep of his tail, quite as if it had been shaped from so much clay. Two other strokes of a giant's thumb might have crafted the broad, nearly-opaque wings, keeping the spars strong but drawing out the sails till they show light, if only when held to the noonday sun. While the ticklish curve of his belly is a little paler, as if it hadn't been fully fired, the only other notable variance is the gloss of blue that glazes his leading edges, its rich iridescence brushed equally from blunt talons to headknobs set widely above wondering, ingenuous eyes.
Public Impression Message
Ingenuous Pottery Bronze may be distracted by the water-lilies green hatching right in front of him, and it may take some doing to get around her, but with every step his demeanor eases: more lightly, more liquidly, just a little playful. But even so, he only risks little glances away from his chosen as he gets past the green, gets past the girl, till he's looking right into bright blue-green eyes. And he sniffs at the suds on the lad's head. And he snorts. What's with that?
