Patchy Maroon Egg
This smallish egg is a deep warm maroon color, slightly darker here and there, almost in a rippled pattern. Marking the surface in a few places are irregular patches of light pink, as if the egg had faded only in those spots.
Patchy Maroon Egg shatters, revealing a Cheerful Green Hatchling laying awkwardly on her back. She chirps amusedly at her situation, and clambers to her feet.
Cheerful Green
This pretty green lady tries to hold out her wings to dry as she gazes about happily, but she finds this just beyond her strength so soon after hatching, and the tips drag in the sands. This doesn't bother her a whole lot, though, and with a happy croon she wobbles about the sands, looking for the perfect partner and friend.
