The news is worse from Fort Hold. There are those who were willing to foster a tentative hope that the Hold's quarantine measures were working, but those hopes are dashed on day 24, month 4 when drums tell the illness has come to Fort Hold. Mid-morning on day 26, month 4, there's a curt message: the Holding family is ill. |
