There are only lighter shades on his underside and belly, but still not really passing pure blue in terms of lightness. His wings are almost like filigree, the sails nearly translucent, yet elegant and well-proportioned. Curiously, however, there are splashes of silvery shades on random bits of his hide, much like stars in the night sky. The tiny splotches are best seen close up, but they almost represent a master weaver’s best embroidery, a whimsical pattern that doesn’t mean anything to the untrained eye.
