It was late evening, and Alida was holed up, fast-asleep, in their weyr. But Ilicaeth - through dint of earlier napping in the sun on his ledge - was wide awake...and incredibly bored. Most of the other dragons were asleep, and so conversation with them was pretty much denied to the blue...the watchdragon left alone, since he felt it wrong to distract the brown from his duty.

Slowly whirling, blue eyes gazed down upon the scenes in the Bowl and surrounding areas through the clear, chill night, and finally found purchase upon various 'somethings' not really noticed earlier that day: snow sculptures. They were everywhere: forts, walls, holds, and of course, the requisite small blortload of firelizards and dragons made of snow. A few of those dragons, however, were lacking something terribly important to a personality like Ilicaeth: completion. In a sudden flurry of focus and determination, the stony blue quietly stepped out fully from his wallow, and was soon alight, winging his way down to where one of the uncompleted sculptures stood, near the lakeside.

He did not let his huge paws and large digits hamper his industrious diligence, his tail easily swishing around to gather up more snow that had gathered during the present snowfall, after the sun set. After over two hours of work, what some children had earlier christened 'Snowakoth' rested in his full splendor along the lake side. One stony eye was larger than the other, and if both were rather sloppily placed...well, it was allowable, given Ilicaeth's size, right? The curve of the snowy brown's body, neck, tail set 'him' into curled-up and lazing mode, his partially-folded wings shored up - beneath their packed snow - by denuded, random tree branches garnered from places just outside the Weyr.

Ilicaeth stepped back from his masterpiece, and inspected for over a minute from many angles. And while part of him was a little let down that it didn't turn out anywhere near as nice as the piece of Harper art upon his own wall...it wasn't really that bad at all.

Pride in his accomplishment translated into a small puff of the blue's chest, and into some honestly pleasant dreams for his snoozing lifemate, but he couldn't allow himself to rest on his laurels. There were a few more, smaller 'projects' waiting for his attention, and he *did* want to leave at least a handful of hours for sleep, after he'd tired himself out.

Grinning internally, and rubbing his paws together to clear them of snow, the burly blue sank down to all fours again, trudging away towards a partially-constructed 'hold' half-way around the lake.
