Cheery Cherry Egg
Jenryth now moves to one side and digs an actual hole, clawing the hot sand out of the way and then lowering her bulk over the hollow. This egg seems particularly stubborn, or perhaps just particularly content where it is - there's a lengthy wait before it shows itself.
Nestled down into the sand so that only the rounded bottom shows, this egg looks like a cheerful red berry. The shiny surface gleams and reflects the light of the cavern. A small star of luminescent white glimmers near the top of the ovoid, giving the illusion of a perfectly smooth, gleaming surface.
The Cheery Cherry Egg makes its last clumsy attempt at breaking. This time, it is successful. The Smartly Angular Brown Hatchling falls head over tail over head over tail before landing smoothly on his feet, shaking his wings clean of any errant sand. The hatchling looks around while trying not to be obvious that he is searching for something and failing...miserably.
Smartly Angular Brown
Uncurling from his egg, this small brown hatchling's first response to the new, wide world is to blink his eyes. His second response is to peer at a neighboring egg, then carefully waddle over, still egg-fresh, and lay his head against the shell to listen. His third response to look mildly bewildered. The hatchling is rather angular in structure, very neat and very smart in his movements, unusual for one so young. In color the best that can be said is that he is brown, an ordinaryness that allows him to fade into the background. And then...and then the crack of an egg, the squall of a clutchmate, the stimulus is not important, only that the brown hatchling is suddenly diving to the sands and behind a heaped pile of shards. With overly precise movements, his head rises from the Shards of Safety and soon the brown moves foward to check out the nearby Candidates.
Temperament
Very neat, very precise in movements and actions. However, also very high-strung, with a tendency to react out of proportion to a given sound or sight that startles him. While endearing as a small dragonet, such is not so when adult (or nearly so), and may cause problems during his training period. He will mellow with age, but it may require several turns and some sort of "security" blanket in the form of a favorite harness or other wearable item that will provide for him a feeling of safety. Above all, however, the one thing that this dragon will never feel comfortable about is lightning and thunder. As an adult, this dragon will tend to fixate on one green at a time, to the point of obsession, even jealousy; and the rider may have trouble controlling the normally well-mannered brown during Flights, especially when he loses.

The Smartly Angular Brown Hatchling looks into the eyes of his lifemate.
Private Impression Message
The Smartly Angular Brown Hatchling trips and nearly falls onto you, tail and wings flailing. As he rights himself and gazes at you, you hear words forming in your mind: « Sorry about that, Morowen. My name is Maxeoth, and I'm very hungry. »
Dragon Inspirations
Basis is Maxwell Smart of the old series "Get Smart".
