On day 5, month 7, of the 31st Turn, flags fly and celebrations are had at Tillek Hold when Lady Edeline's eldest step-daughter, Carilee, is wed to Tomaeran of High Reaches Hold. The fact that he is a former exile is glossed over (after all, that's old news after Devaki), and while there are rumors and whispers of the exiles trying to take over, the more traditional-minded point out that Carilee was never in line for inheritance of Tillek, regardless, being of Nabol Blood. Other rumors, too, begin to circulate after the day's events: some noting a particular swell to Lady Issedi's stomach that might well suggest another child is on the way. If it's true, this can only lead to more pressure on Lord Braeden and Lady Yuliye, yet to produce an heir for High Reaches Hold despite being married the same length of time. Along with Tillek and High Reaches' flags, Nabol's flew on the walls, though interestingly not Crom's. Pointedly, none of the expected invitations to High Reaches Weyr's leadership were sent out. (Perhaps the firelizards got lost?)
