Burnished Gold Egg
Like a treasure of the earth, this egg shines with magnificent splendor. A pure polished gold, as lovely and bright as the finest metal, is the egg's predominant color. Splashed through the smooth gold are thin snowy white streaks, each a highlight against the vibrant shell. As you look at the egg longer, you notice that every one of the marks is not actually a perfect shade of unbroken color; within each snowy streak, countless tiny flecks of copper glitter and gleam in the warm light of the Hatching Grounds. Given this egg's great size and beautiful color, there can be no doubt as to what is housed within.
Burnished Gold Egg cracks into shards as an Elegant Dusky Gold Dragonet pushes her way out of the shell with only a brief glance and flick of her tail back at it.
Elegant Dusky Gold
She is long and lithe, and of a light build that is a strong contrast to her dam. Her hide is shadowy and supple, a very deep, antique gold. As she struggles across the sands, her sinuous neck is in constant motion, balanced by her somewhat awkwardly-spread damp wings. Her movements are slow and deliberate; the care she takes not to trip or injure herself as she advances shows a promise of future elegance; yet within her refined nature, a slightly whimsical flair shows through. Her eyes glow with greens and blues when she looks about her; their soft light lingers momentarily on this or that small detail. Each time her eyes stop, she pauses briefly to admire whatever wondrous thing caught her fancy, but moments later she's in motion again. Every now and then, a splash of orange taints her eyes, and she creels softly with hunger and realizes that she will have time for discovery later; for now, more pressing needs must be met.
