Water Wins Out Egg
Artistic reliefs of light and dark play across the surface of this egg. Where it is light, it is luminous; where it is dark, it is deep. Though what angles there are in its amber planes and shadowed darkness are sharp, pointed whether upward or downward, the dominant texture of the egg is bizarre and beauteous: all drips and curves, as though the surface had been washed unevenly and left to be worn away by the whimsical, unflagging caress of time.
Scheming Siren's Song Green
A subtle creature to look at, though certainly not average, this hatchling is draped in the palest shade of grey-green to be imagined, from the beak-like tip of her sharp muzzle, all the way back to the length of her slim tail. It's a peculiar color that warrants a second look, especially with the way her celadon tone creeps into darker hints of green-blue in what seems like strategic places: the pinions of her wings, to swoop in a painter's broad strokes along the sails that comprise the majority of her overlarge wings; near the sharp threat of her dark claws; along her eyeridges and just behind her headknobs. She looks as if she were set in a kiln, glossy in her pallor, well-balanced and attractive. She is a large dragon, even so new from the shell: not fat, simply larger than many of her counterparts; her build speaks of stamina, if not the agility and sleek speed of other greens.
Temperament
It will become apparent very early in weyrlinghood, and persist inexorably into adulthood, that Aeaeth watches everything. She may look distant, studying that handsome bronze in the distance who is swooping and diving in wing drills, or extremely keen on whether or not Lifreyth is making eyes at her, but it is when people think she is least paying attention that she'll say something like, « Look, Jorrth is nervous. His wing dips when he takes off, » or « Roszadyth is giving Ahtzudaeth the eyes ... again. » While her inference about what she sees is not always on the nose, her observations themselves are many and accurate. Worse, when she thinks it is appropriate - when there isn't time to tell Yesia about her findings, lest the opportunity to exploit them pass - she will broadcast them to everyone in the group, or the area. She will learn not to do this, in time, but building to that point will be very hard; harder still, Aeaeth's opinions are not always things she is willing to drop easily, and sometimes she will harangue her peers with them, until they concede agreement.
Aeaeth is a very male-oriented green: she loves them, and moreover she wants their attentions. She will, as a general rule, give attention to any male she deems handsome, even some she doesn't, and especially willing to help Yesia attain her romantic goals by courting their respective dragon. While this works in Yesia's favor more often than not, sometimes it doesn't. This can and does cause brief, very noticeable rifts in the pairs interactions, until one or the other decides to be fully forgiving. When she's proddy, everyone will know; she wants as many suitors as possible, and will try to coerce, promos and manipulate dragons into following her into the sky. When she finally does rise, her flights are not about maneuverability, but height and distance, and while she usually won't be the one causing harm, normally, she will use what little acrobatic skill she possesses to fly suitors into one another, cause them to fight and generally put them on their worst behavior. Injuries are likely to be common when she goes up, and unfortunately she'll go up pretty often. The hussy.
Public Impression Message
The hatching begins with a bang: the Water Wins Out Egg explodes in a flurry of shards before the candidates have even made it all the way out onto the sands. The celadon green within takes two step forwards, startles herself with her own wings, and then all but throws herself in Yesia's direction (shoving, forcefully, past Laine as she goes). Does that count as auspicious?

Mindvoice
Aeaeth's mind is oddly chaotic, her voice odd: she is melodic synesthesia, disorienting and confusing. She is sound, yes, and simultaneously she is color--beckoning and beautiful soprano notes of gentle amber, shrill shrieks of red fury, soft tendrils of silver when she whispers, so gently, of a secret only she can tell--and all of this is reflecting, on mirrors and smooth stone walls, until it becomes very difficult to navigate what she's saying and what she means. Even for those who speak to her frequently enough to be able to parse out the exact colors and sounds around her words, there is often the sensation that she is still hiding something, sharing whispered secrets to someone else even while she is talking to you.
Itchyspots
In her own way, Aeaeth is as as vain as her rider: she expects to be primped and preened as part of Yesia's morning routine, expects to be oiled thoroughly and bathed regularly, and willfully will stop anything she is doing, in the beginning, if she starts to feel dry or tight. Her wings are of particular concern, because they are so long. She needs extra attention near the pinions and at all the joints, and her itchiness can be spotted a mile off by the way she'll wriggle and snap her wings out if she hasn't received that attention.
Dragon Inspirations
Mean Girls Gretchen Wiener and Cady Heron meet siren lore--specifically the trio in The Odyssey. Her name, Aeaeth (ay-eth), is a nod to Circe's island of Aeaea, Odysseus' destination when he was waylaid by a trio of sirens off the coast. Aeaeth's mindvoice is largely inspired by Margaret Atwood's Siren Song, with a not-very-subtle nod to the Carlsbad Caverns, specifically light refractions and the odd disorientation that happens in underwater caves.
