What: The contamination of flour spreads throughout the Weyr.

It started with one Candidate in the infirmary, then another, then a greenrider, then a scribe, and so on, until nearly a dozen other weyrfolk had turned up, all complaining of similar symptoms to the girl first admitted. Of that near dozen, only two took up residence in the infirmary, though far away from the quarantined Ulyana, their conditions reportedly much milder than hers. By day 1, there were rumours of one of the visiting holders (because it just /had/ to have been a holder) bringing something infectious with them, for a steady stream of people continued to get themselves looked over by healers (and, for the most part, get promptly dismissed). Day 2 brought a tale from the kitchens of contaminated flour and a young apprentice cook none the wiser for using the stuff despite it, in their own words "looking funny". By the end of the day, the sacks used had been traced to one of the deliveries from Gar. So much for mending fences.
